Why oh why is this so expensiveMy Frenchie Pug is a picky eater. I have tried so many things to entice her to eat her food and tried the Meat Mates toppers, which she LOVED However, she would eat the toppers and leave her kibble behind. I bought the big bag of the Meat Mates chicken dog food, and again, she loves it and gobbles it right up However, with her recommended serving size of 2-2.5 cups and she s not even a very big dog , she would go through this 81 3.3 lb bag in no time For now, I am mixing 1 cup of Meat Mates with 3 4 cup of her kibble. That still leaves us with her gobbling up the Meat Mates and leaving the kibble behind unless she gets hungry enough later on . I would love to feed her Meat Mates exclusively, but it is just cost-prohibitive. At this price it seems many of us have to use it as a glorified food topper instead of a complete meal. Please, Meat Mates, if you would price this more reasonably, you d probably have a lot more regular happy customers
